Counter Burger - My Go-To Make-Your-Own Order [FOOD]

They're pineapples are fresh and grilled! That's a summer must-have in my book :>

Other than that, I'm a pretty simple gal— no bun, organic baby greens, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, curly carrots, sliced pickles, and melted cheddar.

What's your favorite Counter Burger order? Or, way to eat a burger? Share in the Comments below, we've love to hear! :> xo

(Not pictured— they're cheddar cheese fries, which we always get, without fail :>)

Despite being past Labor Day and past the middle of September, we've had several warm days/evenings. Dining al fresco? Probably one of my favorite things to do in this state. So, I took advantage of the lighting and beautiful girl I was with, as we waited for our burger and munched on our cheese fries :> xo

Cheesecake Factory's California Cheesesteak + Bacon Cheese Burger + Fries!

In search of a decent cheesesteak, we attempted the Cheesecake Factory's version. Jersey Mike's cheesesteak was ok (meh, so-so— still can't get over the pickled peppers...) and left us still craving and wanting something better.

Review of Cheesecake Factory's version: I was dubious of this so-called 'California' version but it actually wasn't too bad. The ingredients are fresh— especially the peppers (green and red), and there were even fresh mushrooms, as I would expect but which was lacking in Jersey Mike's version.

I think my only criticisms are 1) the bread is not the true 'authentic' bread— a soft sub— that I'm used to but give the bread credit for actually being better quality than the cheap stuff; and 2) the steak could have been sliced ever-so-slightly thinner. That's the thing about cheesesteaks IMHO: they're the ultimate in comfort food. They're savory, packed full of flavor, and easy to chew and swallow and repeat for another 7-8 inches more :>

But not bad, Cheesecake Factory, not bad. I'll be trying your Pit Beef Dip soon enough! :>

Have you tried the Cheesecake Factory's cheesesteak? What did you think? Share in the Comments below, we'd love to hear!

Here's my go-to menu item at the Cheesecake Factory: the Smokehouse BBQ Burger. I order it without all the sauces, essentially requesting a bacon cheese burger. That's the thing that made me doubtful of the 'California Cheesesteak'— I've learned that California tends to add sauce to sandwiches when it's unwarranted, essentially all the time. I'm a believer that the flavor of the actual ingredients should speak for themselves— beef, bacon, cheese? Why the heck would you need sauce with that?? imho.
