Look at this girl. She's even smiling when momma pops a drinking glass in front of her face :>. I was playing with filters of the in-your-face (literally) kind. I've seen cool pictures with magnifying glasses but, unfortunately, I don't have one of those, so leave it to me to improvise.

Defying Gravity, Step By Step

I realized for about the next couple of decades I will be in a continual state of doting, thinking on a near daily basis how big, grown up, and wonderful my baby is. (Yes, even when she's 30, she'll always always be my baby.)

M is growing and developing, and learning new things everyday and it's just absolutely amazing to witness.

I didn't walk until I was 18 months old— foreseeable explanation, perhaps, of why I'm such a weakling. As of today, M is 11 months, 6 days and this momma is sooper excited, sooper proud, sooper humble for being so blessed with such an amazing little girl. As Mom has sung to me and now me to M, 'Thank heaven for little girls!'.

A Well-Deserved Post-Swim Slumber

We are nearing the end of our second month of swimming and the Babe continues to get better and better. She kicks, she splashes, she smiles, she gaggles.

It would be even better if the other kids weren't all so much older but c'est la vie. It's time really well spent (and I mean spent!) just the two of us.

Don't you love to watch a sleeping baby? They're like 'yut peh leht'— like swollen mush. I love it! Look. At. Those. Cheeks!! :>

Couch Talk - 11 Month Update!

So big so fast! I can't believe Nui Nui is in her last month of year one! Time certainly flies and, yes, it's been incredible fun :) Life's an adventure and I'll twitch people's bums (ref. French Kiss) by saying I'm so happy to be on it with these two warriors!

11 months! Nailing Down The Last Month Of Year One With A Vengeance

I forgot to set my alarm last night, aka. turn on my phone that dubs as my alarm. Nui Nui's 'typical behavior' is always changing but the current 'typically' is that she doesn't wake up until after I leave for work. But today she had my back as she always does when I need her. I swear, we ride the same wavelength— the beauty of experiencing motherhood from the very start of the seed.

Nui Nui woke up earlier and gaggled me out of a late slumber and managed to get me to work on time. I think she knew it was her birthday and I think she knew I wasn't planning on coming home during lunch, as I usually do. She just knew it and, for that, she just had to get up early. Coincidence? I think not. < insert>wink < /insert>

Love of my life. I can't believe she's 11 months already! She'll always be my baby baby but, dang, #sobigsofast! It's amazing to watch her grow and learn so rapidly. Love. Of. My. Life!

In The Land Of Oz

Nui Nui got this dress from Auntie Helen and I love it. It's made by Ralph Lauren. It's really girly— not something M sports all the time— and instantly makes me think of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

Because it's hard to crawl around in a dress, I love putting M in one on the weekends because those are the days we are out and about, walking around town.
