We were practicing for a little while and now, all of a sudden, I caught M holding her hands together. I was loud with joy and M just looked at me with a 'what's-her-deal?' face. Love it. Love her!
This was Michelena's second dinner outing. Iberia takes about an hour to get to from home, so it was a long trip. Michelena, however, slept nearly the entire time. I think the car ride plus darkness of night made her think it was time to sleep. What a sweetie.
M's weight is in the 75-90th %ile and her height is still above the 95th %ile, measuring 24.5 inches long.
Mom and I shared a burger at Fridays for a late lunch after the appointment, while M just noshed on mommy's milk, which, as you can see, knocked her out silly :>.
Taking a break [aka. getting grandma's afternoon coffee] from shopping for the Nui at Menlo. We went to Old Navy and got a red fleece jacket with hearts, a pair of sooper soft cream-colored pants, and festive colored socks [pic to post].
I am utterly amazed by how quickly M learns things. Today I was showing her how to hit the toys on her bouncer— I took her fist and did it with/for her a few times to demonstrate. She picked it up, or, rather, hit it up :>, just thereafter.
I titled a recent post 'Faux Fall' because we're trying to take more pics that capture the beauty of fall and its changing leaf colors but haven't actually had much of a chance to. Today we took a 'walk' [well, between Panera and Barnes.. oops! :>] and then some snaps. ..well, at least we were really outside :>
I though M gained a lot more weight. Well, not a lot lot but thought she'd be at least 11 lbs., perhaps 11.5-12lbs. The nurse told me that they look for an ounce a day, so actually she's right on the nose :>
The 'faux' is in reference to the fact that we didn't really go outside [#iadmitit]— we stood in the front doorway— but we wanted to capture the beautiful changing leaves of fall anyway.
Not that I didn't need one pre-pregnancy but, exponentially, I've become one of those moms that seriously [seriously] needs a makeover. :>
We 'celebrated' my birthday with a trip out to Wegmans, Target, and Panera. I nursed for the first time at Panera, which had the most perfect set up— a single couch chair with wheels that faced a fireplace corner, which you can see behind us.
