We've been taking advantage of this indian summer we've been having and have been dining al fresco every night (Friday-Sunday). Saturday was burger night and we started off with this heap of fries topped with tillamook cheddar cheese.

We were going to go to another restaurant for Nui Nui's birthday dinner but tried booking a table too late, so we went to one of our go-to places and ordered our usual. Nui Nui #likemotherlikedaughter likes rack of lamb and pasta :>

Friday Night Italian Dinner Date!

Some parents are always equipped with toys. I always carry around paper and a pen for entertainment. It's light, it's easy, it's always (well, usually) entertaining— and educational :>.

We went to one of our neighborhood go-to's on Friday night and ordered two of our favorite dishes (probably our top two favorites, actually :>). Grilled lamb chops (or rack of lamb) with sauteed kale and potato wedges; fettuccine carbonara with tomatoes, peas, mushrooms, and bacon in a light garlic cream sauce. It's a no-brainer and, after a short long week, not having to think about what to eat helps :>

Prepping Our After-Dinner Fruit Together! - VLOGUST 8, 2014 [VIDEO]

Every night, after dinner, we eat fruit. It's just something we always did when I grew up, and I guess you can say it's something we're passing down to Nui Nui. She almost always wants fruit after dinner. Recently, she's been very eager to help me prepare the fruit— grapes and strawberries are her current favs.

Burrito Bowl - Another Chipotle Fail

We actually didn't end up eating this— the meat was spicy and the customer service was for the pits— but it had potential... and you have to give me credit for finally giving it another chance. But nope. Not going back, at least not for a long while. Still don't get the craze.

Fryday Night Brewery! Bacon Cheeseburger + Legendary Garlic Fries + Jambalaya Pasta!

Finally covered some new territory last Friday night. It was a pretty warm evening, (we bumped into my future husband :>), and we ended up in a brewery drinking... milk and water :> I love breweries though. Mom ordered a jambalaya pasta (don't ask) and I had a 1/2-pound bacon cheese burger with some legendary garlic fries. First time, perhaps, I've ever had garlic fries and they were bomb. I'll be definitely going back for more.

I heart Fridays— probably my most favorite day of the week. Yes, I still have to wake up early, which I am not a fan but by day's end, you've got the whole weekend ahead of you. O, the potential of sleeping late for the next two days (not a guarantee with a two-year-old but there's potential!) and definitely 24-hour adventure together.
