They Grow Up So Fast... Freakishly Hot, Time At The Puh-Park :>

Mondays should be called Miss Your Kid(s) Day. We had such a good time this weekend, yesterday especially, that I decided to take advantage of this freakishly hot weather we had today and race back home to take Nui Nui to the puh-park. I called Mom when I got off work and she said she was sleeping but Nui Nui was aroused perhaps by Mom talking and the second she heard 'park', she was up and at 'em, rearing to go :>

As always, she had a good time and is getting so strong. It's crazy to see her climbing and running so fast everywhere. I was thinking about the first time I brought her there. I think it was on one of her birthdays. She was an itty bitty, warbly, and weak. Now, she's walking up the stairs with one hand, running across the slated bridge, and sliding down the swirly slide all by herself. I know, I must sound mom-ridiculous but that's ok, I'm enjoying every minute of it :>

Later in the evening and other ways Nui Nui has matured... When dinner is set on the table, being hungry, her reaction is 'Wooooow' :> I don't have to freak out as much when she's drinking out of a cup. She just loves those chocolate swirl wafers and knows how to grin and request them :> She knows how to play hide-n-seek— when she couldn't find me I yelled achoo and she ran to my mom and said 'Momma achoo' :> She said 'love you, momma' at bedtime... :> ...I am grateful.

Nui Nui Sings Her ABCs! :>

Nui Nui has been practicing her ABCs for a while now. She can sing it on her own but sometimes she shy or doesn't want to. Anyway, I was pretty happy last night for whatever reason. No, not for whatever reason. Because it was Friday. Friday nights are always so promising with the whole weekend ahead, full of possibilities :> ...and time to catch up with all the pics/vids I took during the week :>

Anyway, we came home last night from dinner and I treated Nui Nui to a wafer&dmash; one of those chocolate-vanilla swirl straw-like sticks, and she happily started to sing along, karaoke-style to the ABC song.

Nui Nui's First Movie! :>

Bam! What an awesome way to end the weekend and refresh for the coming week.

This weekend was jam packed and, though I did a lot, I'm actually feeling pretty wired/wide-awake for it being 11:32pm... :>

Today, Nui Nui went to her first movie in an actual movie theater. We saw The Croods. It was a Century Theater, which made me a little nervous, but it was a really nice theater and everyone left happy and safe so it was a good trip :>

Nui Nui hoarded the popcorn. [Thank you, A, if you're reading this! ...for the better-than-momma's-breakfast breakast :>]. The popcorn held Nui Nui down for a little bit but then she was up. The funniest part was her discovery of movie theater seats. As she was trying to get up, the seat moved up and she was kind of confused about what was going on. Somehow, she managed to get out of her seat. She climbed with the boys and then for the rest of the movie practiced stair climbing and descending. She's actually getting pretty good at it and I'm very impressed with how active she is but she loves it— total nonstop :>

After the movie, we played near/in a fountain— Nui Nui was soaked after. Then we went to Target because, really, why not? :> I didn't end up getting anything I set out for, which was overnight diapers [because they were too expensive] and an umbrella stroller [because I wasn't impressed with them despite their decent temporary price cut].

By then I was hungry and we picked up Mom for a late lunch, dropped Mom back off home, and went back for some more play [and climbing] with the boys. I then jetted for my last free class of hot yoga. It went well. My balance is coming back and is my flexibility but now that affordable classes are kaput, I'll have to find ways to actually get my heart up, aside from the reckless drivers I commute with everyday.

Phew. It was a gud, no, great weekend. I don't know why I'm in such a good mood but when you are, I guess, best not ask, don't take it for granted, and enjoy it while it lasts :>

Nui Nui's First Eclair! :>

When I was a kid I used to love eclairs. There used to be a real, local bakery that actually made them from scratch. They made bread— poppy seed horn rolls...— donuts [chocolate, jelly, cinnamon twists], apple turnovers, cookies, more. We used to go there all the time. After school and weekends were the biggest hits. Sigh. I really miss that place.

Today we went to this small-chain bakery... Bakeries are just not what they used to be. But out of convenience and hunger, this is where we went. Mom and I each got an eclair and both let Nui Nui share. Like her mom, she loved it :> Eclairs really are kid friendly— soft, slight sweet, and easy to chew :> Nui Nui had a good snack. Weekends are good when mom's are around :>

Mom joined forces and upgraded to an iPhone today. That makes two warriors. :>

Our trip to the cellphone store was a typical decently-long one but Nui Nui was a real trooper. She made friends with an older girl who wore a tinkerbell top and starry-glittered velcro sneakers. Whomever the kid, Nui Nui wants to play :> When the girl left, we did a decent amount of twirling and chasing as we waited for Mom's contacts to be imported. Mom left happy. We all did. :>

But by the time we hit the car— ~12:21pm-ish— Nui Nui was due for her nap and was sleeping in 1.2 seconds. Do sleeping babes ever get old?... #rhetoricalquestion :>

Friday night could not come fast enough. I was so looking forward and thankful I could spend the night with friends :> ...and it happened to be along the beautiful water no less! It's fun to watch the kids play together these days because they actually are. They watch mimic, and follow each other. At one point they all went into the bedroom, closed the door, and tried to barricade it off from the mommas. Giggle. Sigh. So fun to watch them grow up... #sobigsofast #toobigtoofast

They say too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth but, really, can there ever be too many dishwashers?... :> :>

I had to go to Home Depot the other day during my lunch break and since I had some time to spare, I snuck in Target for a stroll around one of my go-to stores. Target really is great isn't it? That's Me-Nu-Nu! :>

Nui Nui's language keeps getting better and better. What's fun and sooper cute is when she actually complicates words by adding an extra syllable. I think is first started with conditioner— kind of a hard word. The way she says it is con-di-tion-na-na! #loveit :>

Last weekend, we went out for dinner and she all of sudden insisted on checking out the menu and surprisingly knew how to say it. Well, with an extra nu added to the end :> Check her out! :>
