Baby Turns 7 Months Old! [MOMLIFE]

'Mama, I love our baby!', she came into my room exclaiming.

'You do?', I asked, only because she once said in the past she didn't want a baby because her best friend at school didn't have one. I knew she didn't mean it but it still stung a little.

So to hear this without prompting filled my heart with such happy.

I know my kids won't always be satisfied with the family I made but you know I will try my best to get them on this unconventional bandwagon of love I created and so very much believe in.

My oldest proceeded with, 'Happy Birthday, Baby!', and snuggled in close to her.

Today, baby turns 7 months old!

Nui Nui's First Official Birthday Party! - 4yo [VIDEO+]

Party, playdate, you know what I mean :>

Honestly, now that the birthday celebration with her friends has happened, I think I'm a little more confident with calling this gathering a 'party', namely because of the unexpected number of people that showed up. It was a great turnout. Originally, I was expecting 6 kids but 11 actually came— iffy RSVPs. Plus, many of the kids came with both parents. Our place was packed during cake time! It was so great :>

After I ordered the cake, I was worried I had ordered one that was too big. Nui Nui and I wanted a round cake vs. a rectangular one. So, for $5 more, I went with the bigger one and the shape we wanted. I went all out :> And glad I did. The size was perfect. We have just a little bit of leftover and who doesn't like a little bit of leftover cake? :>

The weather ended up being perfect. The heat finally broke and it was actually pretty cool. Moreover, it was cloudy, so we didn't have to worry about baking in the sun.

The one regret I have is the amount of footage and pictures I ended up with. I always get distracted playing host and my role as photographer automatically plummets. Nonetheless, it was a really (really) good time and one for memory lane :> xo

Nui Nui Opens Her First Birthday Present! - 4yo [VIDEO]

In my last post, I posted pics of Nui Nui's outfit, which she chose all by herself on the day of her birthday celebration at school.

Below is the video footage, as promised, of her unwrapping her first gift. Her reaction is wild and I wonder what age 4 will bring :> xo

Nui Nui's School Birthday Celebration Outfit! [KIDS STYLE]

I know I've been blogging all over the place in no coherent order lately. And I've said to myself in the past that I should not apologize for certain (mundane) things if it's really harmless but wanted to acknowledge, Dear Reader, that I realize my lack of order in my posts lately. My number one goal, above all else, is to put out (good) content. The coherency of the order of my posts will follow eventually, promise.

That said, below are some pics of when Nui Nui came home from school on the day we celebrated her birthday at school, which was just five days ago.

I love this dress! I got it from Kohl's probably a couple of years ago. Still fits, barely though :> Surprisingly, in the morning, she was the one who picked this out, much to my very delight.

On that day, I wrapped all her birthday presents we got her— video on those items has been uploaded and will be posted very soon!— and decided to put them out for her. Not as a teaser but just as we do for xmas. She was very excited to see them and and eager to open them, so I told her she could open just one and that the rest would have to wait for her actual birthday. Maybe it was a little too cruel to tempt her like that, I realized.

I chose which one she could open, choosing her #1 most-wanted gift. Her response? 'I knew it!' So funny. I'll post the video footage in the next post. In the meanwhile, enjoy this pretty girl
