Girl's Rainy Day Outfit Of The Day! [KID STYLE]

It's actually raining where we live!

Living in a state of drought: it changes you. Rain becomes this enigma, the eighth wonder of the world, almost.

Nui Nui got to use her umbrella for maybe the second or third time. Needless to say, she was so excited. I wish she had rainboots for times like these but these times are too rare and her feet grows to fast to make it worth it.

So happy. This is what she said in the car: 'Mama, the rain is almost like snow! Maybe we can call it snow rain!'

As always, outfit details below! xo

Umbrella: Amazon
Jacket, Shoes: Target (Circo, Champion, respectively)
Pants: Old Navy

Baby's Cheetah-Velour Outfit Of The Day! [KID STYLE]

We're finally beginning to wear the steals we got from the Black Friday weekend sale.

Target had an awesome clothing, shoes, and accessory sale with everything 40% off so we definitely took advantage of that, especially when it came to getting the baby some clothes.

I'm surprised, though at the same time not surprised, with how few clothing pieces we had for Nui Nui. But I'm a different mom now than back then when I was a new mom. Back then, I found comfort in kimono tops and sleepers. Now, I'm interested in the baby wearing actual clothes during the day. (Not saying it happens all the time but the majority of it :>)

I love this outfit. The pants are velour and blue-- Nui Nui/big sister's favorite color. The top is animal-print, always a personal favorite, and free of any cheesy writing/design. While all for design, if it's cutesy, I'm over it.

Details of the outfit, as always, are below. For more of we got on Black Friday, be sure to check out our haul video on our YouTube Channel, youtube.com/piecesofm. xo

Feline Print Outfit Of The Night! [KID STYLE]

This was a fun outfit to put together-- mixing and matching animal prints, as well as so-called gendered clothing.

When I shop for my girls, I browse the whole store, beyond the pinks, florals, and tulle. We love all colors of the rainbow and all styles. If you tend to look at only one half of your favorite clothing store when shopping, try exploring the other side. You never know what gems you might find. xo

Top: H&M
Bottom: Walmart
Socks: Old Navy

Day 3 - Going Home OOTD [KIDS STYLE, MOMLIFE]

She's got a set of lungs, let me tell you. Best sound ever when she was born :>

Her face seems like it's already changing. The fullness in just a mere few days!

That arched line below her nose? That's from breastfeeding :> xo

Nui Nui's School Birthday Celebration Outfit! [KIDS STYLE]

I know I've been blogging all over the place in no coherent order lately. And I've said to myself in the past that I should not apologize for certain (mundane) things if it's really harmless but wanted to acknowledge, Dear Reader, that I realize my lack of order in my posts lately. My number one goal, above all else, is to put out (good) content. The coherency of the order of my posts will follow eventually, promise.

That said, below are some pics of when Nui Nui came home from school on the day we celebrated her birthday at school, which was just five days ago.

I love this dress! I got it from Kohl's probably a couple of years ago. Still fits, barely though :> Surprisingly, in the morning, she was the one who picked this out, much to my very delight.

On that day, I wrapped all her birthday presents we got her— video on those items has been uploaded and will be posted very soon!— and decided to put them out for her. Not as a teaser but just as we do for xmas. She was very excited to see them and and eager to open them, so I told her she could open just one and that the rest would have to wait for her actual birthday. Maybe it was a little too cruel to tempt her like that, I realized.

I chose which one she could open, choosing her #1 most-wanted gift. Her response? 'I knew it!' So funny. I'll post the video footage in the next post. In the meanwhile, enjoy this pretty girl

Xmas School Holiday Party 2014!

She's growing up so fast. It was so amazing watching Nui Nui perform today, thinking about last year's xmas party and how far she's come. They did a full song and dance! Videos to come, stay tuned!

Found A Rainbow! - VLOGMAS 6, 2014 [VIDEO]

Lessons re-learned/affirmed:
  1. I have the #bestmomever. When someone's got your back, it's a beautiful thing, isn't it?
  2. I have the #bestkidever. It's amazing how loving and supportive someone can be at the tender age of three.
  3. I'm not as forgetful an idiot as I thought, just a self-deprecating klutz.
