The Career Path And Earning Potential Of Today's Generation [TECH+CAREER+LIFE]

The earning potential of gamers was revealed in a recent Mashable article, Gaming to Pay the Rent, but it's not really a surprise given what some YouTubers can and do make now.

It's an exciting time for young people. The job market and career paths are expanding. Young people are becoming entrepreneurs and no longer needing to wait or hope someone will choose them. Rather, they have the power to become their own star or CEO, taking unconventional roles, doing what they love, and turning their passions into careers.

Technology has opened the doors and is allowing those who want it to live the dream:

Do what you love and never work another day in your life. Source

Maybe that's why millennials are so misunderstood, often labelled as lazy, entitled, and lacking a strong work ethic. But it's not that. Young people today are empowered, raised in an era where technology is historically at its peak and only continues to advance, making them the most technologically savvy of any other generation.

Young people have been taught the same ideology as any of their older generations have but the difference to note is that they are at a slight advantage because they have the access, tools, and networks at their disposal to facilitate the process of building and actualizing their dreams.

One Of The Greatest Lessons In Recovery

I just found this pin on Pinterest and thought it was valuable enough to both repin and share it here.

This is one of the biggest lessons you'll learn in recovery (and perhaps non-recovery general life improvement). It doesn't have to be a long car ride or reading. As unique individuals, what causes that 'momemt' will be different for different people.

If you're struggling, the key is to find the things that make you lose yourself (NOT drugs!). Easier said than done, don't get me wrong. It's half the battle, maybe the (figuratively) bloodiest part. You have to work your butt off Every.Single.Day. 24/7/365. No weekends, no holidays. You have to explore. You have to want. You have to push yourself to do just get up and do it.

The cool thing about recovery (or self-improvement), though, is that, over time, the effort requirement will decrease. That is, gradually, it won't take as much effort. Eventually, it won't take any at all (or any more than average, at least). But it's a process and won't take overnight so don't expect it to. Like anything else, hard work pays off and you will reap the benefits if you work hard enough. Just don't give up. You are not alone. And you will get there. Just believe. (And work your ass off. Daily. Hourly. Minutely.)

Find the calm, the inner peace, the passion. It's in there somewhere. Keep on doing this. Eventually, that state of mind/being will become habit and you will be reborn again into a happier, more peaceful, more productive life.

Hope this helps. Hope this is not too vague. Everyone's journey will be different but the principles I think can be universal.

One Year Post-Prego Professional Anniversary! :>

Today marks my one year anniversary of being gainfully employed post-pregnancy. My, how fast time has flown and how much we've changed and grown. And, dow great it's been to finally realize my professional capabilities alongside sharing laughs with stellar gud friends in the meanwhile. It's not every day... you get to get up in the morning for the daily grind and actually like to see (at least some of) the people on the same grind with you.

Cheers, to gud company! Suppa Club! And lasting :>

How're you feeling about your job these days? And what relationship do you have with your co-workers? Share below, we'd love to hear! :>

Parenting Topic: Work Travel Mine!

Parenting isn't always easy. I'm still struggling with what to do with Nui Nui and that teacher... :(

In this episode of Parenting Topic, I discuss the work-family balance (or imbalance), the toll, and what it means and takes to raise a happy, healthy, and productive human being.

For one, the Beatles sang it straight: All you need is love... but what about time?

Share your thoughts! Enjoy and thanks for reading and watching!

How do you balance work-family life? And where do you draw the line? Comment below, we'd love to hear! :>
