We've found neighborhood friends to play with. Neighborhood kids. Neighborhood. Doesn't that sounds nice? Of course our kids will never get to experience that luxury they did in the past (heck, we didn't either!) but this is the next closest thing. We've got families in our neighborhood who play outside, together. I don't know why this seems so novel but the setup these days, I think, are few and far between. Homes too far apart. Weather never appropriate. Families keeping to themselves... the list of excuses goes on.
Nui Nui loves this newfound play and playtime friends. When she sees and hears them, she yells, 'The Kids! The kids are outside! Let's go play, Momma!'
And so begins this new chapter. What we've (or I've) been looking for: a place to call home, a place to grow, to have fun, and build our collection of happy memories. Jokingly, I tell Mom, this is 'resort-style living'. lmfao.
For me, it's the simple things.
