Found A Rainbow! - VLOGMAS 6, 2014 [VIDEO]

Lessons re-learned/affirmed:
  1. I have the #bestmomever. When someone's got your back, it's a beautiful thing, isn't it?
  2. I have the #bestkidever. It's amazing how loving and supportive someone can be at the tender age of three.
  3. I'm not as forgetful an idiot as I thought, just a self-deprecating klutz.

Frozen's Let It Go Music Bandmates!

These two were chillaxin' in Barnes, riding lego boxes, and singing Let It Go. Nui Nui did her friend's mom a favor and got him to watch Frozen the next day :> xo

How To Laugh | #piecesofm

I said I'd try to do Vlogust, where I'd vlog everyday but may not upload everyday. I'm keeping to that, or am trying to. Unfortunately, there are not enough hours in the day for me to do everything. My goal is to put a video up once a day for the rest of August, whether it be a vlog that day, one I'm catching up on, or something I produce for a purpose beyond vlogging. Hope you understand and will stay tuned! :> xoxo

Our Typical Saturday

Bagels and Barnes :>

This is not typical but Nui Nui picked out this dress she's wearing. I asked her what she wanted to wear and she said a dress— she doesn't (or want to) wear them often— but this day she even knew exactly which one she wanted. Dressing her was simple and I love when she gets all dolled up on the weekend when we spend time together. It's not that I like my kid to be dolled up but it's fun to see her in actual nice clothes (that she can still easily play in) but aren't her actual play or everyday clothes, which are pretty worn and repetitive. Honestly, though, whatever she wears, she still emits a radiant beauty.

Our Saturdays are simple and routine, nothing fancy. As I see it, it's just a time to relax and spend time together. I just realized as I am writing this, that we often eat al fresco, which is a treat I've been taking for granted— love al fresco dining. Recently, we've been spending our mornings on project errands— looking a bathroom stuff etc. That's followed by lunch and then Barnes, where we read, run around, play on the Thomas train set, talk to Elmo the puppet adhered to a book, and build lots of different things with Duplo legos. Hopefully after hours (literally) in Barnes, Nui Nui takes a nap and we walk around, or it'll be more legos and exploring new games and apps on the iPad. Our day usually concludes with either takeout or dinner out somewhere. Cheesecake is a regular go-to.

It's not an exciting life but it's my life. And it's filled with love, laughs, and smiles, so there's really nothing to complain about.

What does your typical Saturday look like? Share in the Comments below, we'd love to hear! :> xoxo

In case you're wondering, Nui Nui built this tower all by herself as I sat mindlessly engrossed in a magazine. I looked up to my amazement. It was really over a foot taller than her— either she stood on the floor seat or pre-fabbed a stack and put it on top. Either way, she's a pretty awesome genius :>

Playing Beautiful Music On The B. Woofer!

I'm in awe of the imagination and curiosity kids have and use to explore. One minute they're bakers, the next they're dancers, the next they're doctors, the next they're rockstars... Dream on, beautiful sunshine, dream on— you can be anything that you want to be.
