New Years Eve 2012

We spent New Years Eve at my aunt's house, just as we did Xmas Eve. On the menu: portugese food hauled all the way from San Jose. Mom, Nui Nui, and I arrived late to the party so I don't have any pretty before-pics. We had bacalau, pork with clams and potatoes, chicken in what looked like cream, lovely fluffy portugese rolls, and a homemade salad of mixed greens, dried cranberries and figs, and sliced almonds. For dessert: flan and red velvet cake. I wouldn't exactly say that was a match-made-in-heaven but how can you really complain about dessert? :>
