Baby Girl Headband Crown Of Flowers [KIDSTYLE]
These headbands are adult-sized and too big but I think I liked how these looked vs. a bow, which I tried on her as well.

Rediscovering My Wardrobe With A Bump And A Smile [STYLE]
I've admittedly been having a lot of fun with these mini pregnancy photo shoots I've been doing lately.
When Nui Nui was little, I finally got a job that required me to dress up, somewhat corporate I suppose, so was forced to go shopping for clothes with a business look in mind. While doing so, I got more into playing with and developing my own style (not business).
Over a few short years, I expanded my wardrobe to a variety of pieces and accessories. I had a brief stint of fashion interest before I left New York but since pregnant and moving to California, that faded. Prior to that, I probably hadn't seriously shopped for clothes (or cared about what I wore/looked like) for over a decade.
As Nui Nui got a little older, took shorter naps, and actually began having shops she wanted to visit, I began to browse less and less at what was in store and became less fashion inspired.
I also had a lot of other things going on so tended back to wearing things mindlessly. Because that's what happens. As Mark Zuckerberg responded to a question about why he wears the same gray t-shirt everyday:
When you've got a lot on your mind and/or in your life, you try to simplify the daily routine as much as possible.
Anyway, so now that I've been wanting to document as much of this pregnancy as I can, I've been rediscovering my wardrobe again. Variety has once again become the spice of life— clothing pieces, accessories, smiles, belly, and all. xo

Phat Hat & Pinkberry! :>
Had a 1/2-day comp day last Thursday and we got Nui Nui this funny, er, cool hat and treated her to Pinkberry :>
This hat is so funny. We've been looking for a new hat for her because we've been spending more time outside, and the sun is really hot here and her head outgrew her other ones. Mom actually found this one at Forever 21. It looks pretty silly but is actually almost perfect for Nui Nui because it has all sorts of fun little clip art of different things that she can identify— ice cream cone, flower, pineapple, cookie, french fries, smile face, etc. Plus, the back is velcro adjustable to fit her :> I guess you can call it 'Functional Fashion'— it's educational, protects her from the sun, and could be cool, right? It was selling at Forever :>
She loves it and seeing her happy rocking it, makes us happy :>

Hello Kitty Barrette
Nui Nui got a Hello Kitty gift set from a family friend this past week. It included a backpack (which I'll have to post soon), < something else I think >, and a barrette (below).
Normally, Nui Nui doesn't like things in her hair but I think she's slowly (slowly) growing more into the idea of participating in this girly act. She brought the barrette to me (to me) and tried putting it in herself. After a cute attempt, I helped her do it properly and she willingly accepted and sported the kitty. Meow.
Normally, I don't dig the Hello Kitty thing but this is her second gift of it so will just accept it as a fact of #momlife raising a little girl (not complaining :>).

Fleece-Lined Gold-Metallic Moccasins!
Today felt like both Monday and Friday. Either way, I was really missing my kid. Do you know when you miss your kid and you then want to start buying things for them? Yeah, well, that happens to me and retail scored today :>
These moccasins didn't have 1/2 sizes. The 7 looked like it would just fit and therefore wouldn't last long but the size 8 looked like I was nuts buying my 2yo that sized pair. I went with the 8 because my kid deserves nothing less than 2 sizes up (:> inside joke) and thinking I could put socks on her if they were too big...
Size 8! Size 8?! I can't believe they fit! smh. Nui Nui did seem very long, though, when I was changing her this morning on the table...So Too big so too fast...
Funny how her interest in the shoes lasted a split second (she was willing to put them on) but Legos take up more real estate :> #notcomplaining :>
What do you do when you're apart and missing the love of your life?

Sunshine Belle
We thank Grandma for her supply of sunscreen :>
M has begun to have fun wearing Grandma's hats. It's fun to watch her grow into them too.
Today was a hot sunny one so Grandma made sure to pack one for our adventures out. We headed out to the farmer's market and picked us up a load of yummy carbs :> Then were off to the bookstore to read, listen to music, and even dance some.
It was a great day and wish we had another. There's never a gray moment with this eastern belle! #ivegotsunshine

The Devil Wears Flowers (and Ballet Flats) :>
Swimming then Halloween costume shopping :>
I've already started contemplating Halloween and Nui Nui's potential costume. I'm always so idle about these things, dally, then never end up doing anything. But I really want to give her the experience of the festivities. Still, though, I am unwilling to pay for an over-priced article she will wear for but a few hours. So instead, I've schemed up a compromise. I will dress her as some type of character but in threads that she can wear on 'regular' days as well.
We had a pretty devilishly good time at this store. What was fun was watching Nui Nui run after the boys. They're always boys and always much older than her. Well, not much much absolutely but nearly 3-4x, relatively :> I really need to get her signed up for some type of class where she can get more kid-face-time...
Love this kid! She's got the best teethy smile and smirking more and more :>
