Buttery Sweet Delicious! 17 Months!!

What happened to 16? :> Feels like we were celebrating Nui Nui's Sweet 16 last week... Time flies when you're having... the time of your life.

For a special treat, I made Nui Nui some homemade brioche french toast with her favorite fruit of the moment— strawberries, which, though early, have been really sweet lately.

Brioche french toast is a cynch, as most of the work is already done for you— assuming you buy the brioche. We buy it at a local bakery, slice it into thick ~1" slabs, and freeze them until we want to eat them.

Simply beat some eggs, add some milk and soak in the brioche. Because they're thick, I actually poke some holes in the bread hoping some of the egg-milk combo will be absorbed. Then in a frying pan, spray with oil, heat up, and drop the bread in. Because they're thick, I also cover, though not fully, the brioche so the french toast will heat/cook all the way through. Flip over, heat a little longer, then voila. Brioche french toast is done.

While cooking, cut up some strawberries or whatever fruit in season and that you fancy. Serve with butter and maple syrup.

Easy schmeasy 6-ingredient recipe o' love.
